Site Infrastructure
A Site Gateway is selected when the deployment requires local data services, configured local retention, printer services, or outage resiliency. Hardware and configuration are determined during the compatibility and site review.
Intercede Site Gateway
Local data services, printer services, and outage resiliency.
Receive machine data from cabinet endpoints over the site network
Host the local Intercede database
Store transaction and event data locally
Customize retention and historical data to each operator's standards
Continue defined local services during an internet outage
Synchronize applicable stored data when internet service returns
Support local and network thermal-printer workflows
Support USB, serial, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi printer connections across most printer models
The Site Gateway is a local service on the site network.
A separate managed router/firewall handles internet routing, VPN tunnels, and
network security.
